Loma Prieta
A tiny bit of research revealed Loma Prieta to be the tallest peak in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Right up our alleys! Well, not really....a little more research brought about the realization that our main route was a private, locked dirt road that was sliding down the mountainside. So...not up our alley. At least not with Branden's Protege. So...plan B! But that brought about the realization that Topozone doesn't distinguish between dirt roads and paved roads. Crawling along, really slow. "Hey, is that a paved road below us!?" Grrrr.... We, of course, never got to the top because some friendly neighborhood yokels had set up a "No Trespassing" sign and a beat up trailer near the top. *BLAM* "Looky thar, ma, I gots meself some city-slickers!"
